These Terms of Service (the “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of this website and any related services (collectively, the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Michelle Lechnyr, MA, LMFT, LLC.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. The Privacy Policy is at the bottom of this website.
Information regarding nondiscrimination and equal access to services is available in our Notice of Nondiscrimination at the bottom of this website.
The Site and its content are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.
Use of the Site does not create a therapist-client relationship. A therapeutic relationship is formed only after a formal intake process, informed consent, and explicit agreement to services.
If you are experiencing an emergency or are in crisis, call 911, contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Any educational content, articles, or resources provided on the Site are general in nature. Mental health professionals are responsible for applying such materials in accordance with their own licensure requirements, ethical standards, and professional judgment.
Submitting an appointment request or inquiry does not guarantee availability and does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
Payment for an initial appointment does not obligate either party to continue services beyond that session, and additional services are offered only after appropriate consent and agreements are completed.
All appointments are subject to review, availability, and professional appropriateness. We reserve the right to decline services at our discretion, consistent with ethical and legal standards.
Confidentiality obligations apply to therapy services only after a formal therapeutic relationship is established. Initial inquiries or appointment requests submitted through the Site or third-party scheduling tools are not intended for sensitive or urgent clinical information and may not be fully secure. Once a therapeutic relationship is established, clients are provided with access to a secure client portal for clinical communications and documentation.
Established clients will be provided with secure communication methods for clinical matters.
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Therapy services are provided only to clients physically located in Washington, at the time of service, where the licensed therapist is authorized to practice. We rely on client representations regarding physical location.
For individuals outside these jurisdictions, professional coaching services may be offered. Coaching is not therapy and is not a substitute for mental health treatment. The distinctions between therapy and coaching will be explained prior to services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of medical services if you are uninsured or not using insurance, as required by federal law.
Certain services, including flat-fee initial appointments, may not require a Good Faith Estimate. Ongoing therapy services may be subject to Good Faith Estimate requirements.
More information is available at https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
We may use automated or AI-assisted tools to support administrative functions, scheduling, communications, or website operations. These tools do not provide therapy, make clinical decisions, or replace professional judgment.
The Site may include links to third-party websites and may use third-party tools such as analytics, cookies, or affiliate programs. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or performance of third-party services.
We may participate in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Any purchase decisions made through affiliate links are solely your responsibility.
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its contractors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for access to the Site or services giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its affiliates from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.
Any dispute must be brought on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and applicable United States law. Any legal action shall be brought in state or federal courts located in Lane County, Oregon, except for small claims matters.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
